How do I unlock my domain name and get EPP code?
In order to be able to transfer your domain name to another registrar you need to first unlock your domain name. The EPP key is required when transferring domain names. It is not possible to initiate a domain name transfer for these domains without an EPP code.
Domain names registered through Exigent can be easily locked/unlocked from the Client Area.
The .au, .uk and .nz domains cannot be locked/unlocked as they cannot be transferred without the registrant's permissions.
1. Login to client area at https://cloudportal.exigent.com.au
2. Click on Domains >> My Domains
3. Click on Registrar Lock in left-hand side panel and here you can disable/enable lock for your domain. (For *.au domains, you cannot lock/unlock)
4. Click on Get EPP Code in left-hand side panel, you will see The EPP Code for your domain is:
NOTE: If you do not see the EPP/Auth code here, then you will need to click on get EPP code, it will show following message:
There was an error in requesting the EPP Code: No EPP code available, please start the transfer out process by clicking here
5. You need to click on 'Transfer out', this will generate a new EPP code for the domain and will be available in the next 25-30 minutes. After that, you can click on 'Get EPP Code' to get the newly generated code.
